Corrosion resistance of copper-beryllium alloy ball
Cu-Be alloy is resistant to corrosive seawater attacks, neutral saline solutions and petroleum products. Moderately resistant to aqueous sodium hydroxide solutions. Do not resist in ferric chloride, sulphides, organic and inorganic acids strong in oxidizing environment, ammonium hydroxide, ammonia vapours, molten metals. Avoid contact with acetylene (possible explosive reaction).
