Steel balls – stainless steel ball

As with all precision balls, precision stainless steel balls are defined by their nominal diameter, the raw material in which they are made and by their degree of accuracy. Standardized diameters are numerous, whether in metric dimensions or in inches, but we also carry out small special series of steel beads with out-of-scale diameters on demand. The tables of raw materials as well as the tolerances of steel and stainless steel beads are detailed in this site, but for any additional information please consult us.
Below you will find a table detailing the characteristics of the most commonly used steel and stainless steel beads used in the manufacture of the balls, but this list is not exhaustive. For all your special requests, feel free to contact us.
Standardized diameters are numerous, either in metric ratings or in inches, but we do, on request, with a relatively short time frame and at reasonable prices, small out-of-quote series.
Metal beads can be made according to different standards, the most commonly used being: – DIN 5401 (German), – ANSI/ABMA (American) – and ISO 3290 (European). Regardless of the standard used, the essential control points are the same and there are equivalences between standards.
Stainless steel drums: the choice of strength and precision
The requirement for reliability and performance in the mechanical, chemical and medical industries has led to the adoption of stainless steel ball, a component that combines strength, precision and excellent resistance to corrosion. Here's all you need to know about this small stainless steel sphere that has weight in industry.
Stainless steel balls find their application in a multitude of fields, especially where rigour and precision are required. Whether for ball bearings, ball screws or pumps, they guarantee optimal operation and extended service life. Industries from all sectors are among the users of these spheres, which meet strict requirements.
The selection of a stainless steel ball is not random. Several precision grades are distinguished: from grade 3, which offers the highest accuracy, to grade 100, less precise but more common. Two criteria are also key when choosing stainless steel balls: nominal diameter and raw material. Other factors, such as resistance to salt mist and corrosion resistance, guide the choice of different types of stainless steel.
The standard diameters of stainless steel balls are numerous, and adapt to your specific needs. They are either in metrics or in inches. But that's not all, because it is possible to order small series of stainless steel balls in out-of-scale diameters, according to your needs.
