Corrosion resistance of aluminium alloy ball 5XXX series
Corrosion resistance similar to 1XXX alloys, but better in the presence of chlorides and in contact with alkaline solutions. Good resistance in the atmosphere and in contact with fresh and salty water, organic acids, aldehydes. All Al alloys may be subjected to pitting corrosion in the presence of chlorides.
Applications of the 5XXX series aluminium alloy ball
Ball bearings, valves. Used in the automotive industry (safety devices), aviation and aerospace, electronics, welding processes.
